We strive to give you the best service possible and not only at the time of purchase. We want you to be able to enjoy your furniture for years to come and as many of our customers ask us, we have put together some points on keeping your furniture looking amazing!

  • Always use mats and coasters on wooden surfaces especially waxed pine, even if the item is heat proof this will prolong the finish. Also clean up any spills as soon as possible.
  • Do not use harsh chemical cleaning products
  • Always check for sharp items before dusting
  • Test any cleaning products on a part of the furniture which cannot be seen before using
  • Do not use any liquid/spray cleaning product on painted items
  • Try to keep furniture out of direct sunlight where possible
  • Dress upholstery regularly, fluff cushions and smooth out the coverings
  • Turn Mattresses regularly
What do we use?

Here at Kiplingcotes, keeping on top of the dusting is a full time job in itself and would mean endless supplies of different cleaning products! However we found a little gem in the products from Norwex! These also help us in our quest to use less chemicals!

We use the norwex dusting mitt in both shops as the Dusting Mitt attracts and holds dust and allergens. Its dense, plush fibres then keep dust from resettling, so stays cleaner, longer. Great for quick, chemical-free, easy dusting and can be used wet or dry. It means less risk of damaging the furniture with any products and also is so easy even the boys can do it!

We also use the window cloths for keeping the glass items and mirrors clean along with an envirocloth for the high traffic areas that can accumulate dirty marks and stains

Norwex however do not sell in retail establishments but are a person to person sales company. We get our supplies from a lady called Sarah Robinson. She is a independant sales consultant for them and regularly places orders. If you want to check out the full range of products, find out more information, want to arrange a demonstration or purchase any of the items, please find the links to Sarah's Norwex website and facebook page below :
